Greetings to All and Happy Holidays.
This is an Action Item for All Scoutmasters; Please Respond by No Later Than COB Thursday, December 30th. MUCH earlier would be deeply appreciated! "A Scout is Courteous."
This is the formal solicitation of interest for the Spring 2000 Projectorees. As noted in my Chainemail of May 7th, 1999, I am recommending a Projectoree A during the weekend of May 5 - 7, 2000, for all Arlington Troops, and a Projectoree B during the weekend of May 12 - 14, 2000, for all McLean Troops. If there is insufficient interest to support 2 Projectorees, then Projectoree A will become the default weekend, and it will be first come/first serve for the first 24 Patrols who submit deposits.
Note that the S.A.T.'s are (allegedly) scheduled for Saturday, May 6th. Note also that the Scouting on the Mall Show is scheduled for Saturday, May 13th, and that Sunday, May 14th, is Mother's Day.
For the record, the District Executive (and the Council) deeply desire all Chain Bridge District Troops to attend the Scouting on the Mall Show (which will also include distribution of the 2000 Program Launch packets.) You will certainly receive a solicitation to attend the Mall Show from Joe Gibson (the CBD SOTMS Coordinator) in the near future. However, also for the record, note that the previously detailed "edict" against Spring Camporees has been rescinded (or never existed in the first place), and several of our neighboring Districts are in fact holding Spring Camporees.
Anyway, please respond with one of the following three options:
1) Yes, Troop ____ will definitely attend Projectoree ____ ["A" for Arlington Troops, "B" for McLean Troops.] We estimate that we will have __ Patrols [Minimum 6 Scouts per Patrol.]
2) No, Troop ____ will not attend either Projectoree.
3) [For McLean Troops Only]: Yes, Troop ____ will attend, but only if we can attend Projectoree A. We estimate that we will have __ Patrols [Minimum 6 Scouts per Patrol.]
Again, I MUST HAVE your selection by COB Thursday, December 30th. This is because Camp Wilson will sell out within an hour or two on Monday, January 3rd, and I have to have solid numbers in order to make proper reservations. If I do not hear from you, I have no choice but to assume that your Troop has declined your invitation.
