Greetings to All.
1) First Meeting Postponed to Sunday, February 20th
Due to the complete uncertainty surrounding the 1-2 punch of a potential major winter storm and/or ice-storm this weekend, I am postponing the first organizational meeting from this Sunday til Sunday, February 20th, starting at 7:30 at the St. Agnes Parish Center. Sorry to hold so long on this, but the forecast was and remains too "up-in-the-air" to make a solid call. And because I am so hard-core about attendance at the meetings, I need everyone to see this before the weekend storm rolls in. Those who spent 3 - 6 hours getting home in yesterday's 2 inches will understand.
2) Contacts Needed!
The current e-net list is appended below.
I have a primary contact for every Troop - but that is also the ONLY contact I have for half the Troops. I need at least one additional Adult contact for Troops 104, 128, 638, 647 (I added Neil Wood basically as a staffer, not as your second contact), 869, and 1916. All Units may also add a third Adult contact if they so wish.
Anyway, for these reasons, I strongly urge each participating Troop to form a Projectoree subcommittee, with at least 3 - 4 members, to ensure that nothing is missed due to a critical person being out of town, sick, or buried at work. Don't assume "someone else is taking care of things" - they are likely thinking the same exact thing! Right now, as noted above, only 2 or 3 members of many of the participating Troops are receiving Projectoree mailings - so things will fall through the cracks more easily this year. Stay on top of things. BTW, your subcommittee should include at least the aforementioned Scout who will definitely be attending the Projectoree in a leadership capacity - this Scout should also be one of your Troop's representatives at the organizational meetings. Don't use your SPL or any other Senior Scout if they're unreliable or are definitely not coming to the Projectoree.
IN ADDITION, I need a SENIOR SCOUT CONTACT for each Unit. This should be a Scout who A) WILL attend the Projectoree in a Ledaership Capacity; B) CAN attend the two Organizational Meetings; and C) Has a clue and can speak on behalf of his Troop and fellow Scouts. It would also be best if this Scout is a Projectoree veteran.
Note that you are strongly encouraged to share these Newsletters with your PLC and your TLC.

3) Pre-Signups
As always, Units may sign up for Competitions, Staff Positions, Cleanup Jobs, and Late Afternoon Activities BEFORE the first organizational meeting (it makes the meeting go faster). If you wish to pre-sign up, please send me an email as to what tasks you want. LAST YEAR'S LIST is below - the single signup for this year (to date) is in brackets [---]. Remember, you can only pre-sign up for the same task you had last year; if you want to do something different, you will have to wait til the meeting, and see what is still available.
