Projectoree Organizational Meeting - Reminder and Comments

Greetings to All.

1) Projectoree "B" is a go, just barely. The break-even point was 12 Patrols, and we now have 13 signed up (2 or 3 of those are "not confirmed, but pretty sure." The following Units are confirmed:

128 - 3 Patrols
505 - 1 Patrol
652 - 1 Patrol
667 - 1 Patrol
869 - 2 Patrols
904 - 3 Patrols
1130 - 2 Patrols

The following Units have contacted me, but are still deciding:

141 - No preference indicated
143 - No preference indicated
162 - No preference indicated
827/828 - Combined, for "B"

WRT these four Units, I would appreciate an update on your status between now and tomorrow night; if yes, you are expected to attend tomorrow night's meeting.

The following Units never contacted me one way or another:

141, 151, 821, 822, 825, 978 and 1916.

WRT these latter seven Units, unless I hear from you between now and tomorrow night's meeting, or two Troop representatives unexpectedly show up at the meeting, I am assuming that your Troop is a "No" for the Projectoree. In all these cases, this will therefore be your *last* email concerning the Projectoree, because I will not be accepting any additional reservations following tomorrow night's meeting.

The following Unit is confirmed for "A," and will be attending tomorrow night's meeting for additional orientation: 648

2) The second Projectoree "get acquainted" and job assignments session meeting will be held, as previously noted, tomorrow night (Sunday, February 7th), from 7:30 - 9:30 at St. Agnes Church, 1914 N. Randolph St., in the main hall of the Parish Center (far southern end of the St. Agnes complex.) With the exception of Troop 1130 (who have an "all hands" reunion dinner at the same time), all Units are expected to provide one Adult and one Senior Scout representative at this meeting.

Please make an effort to come *a little early* so that we can begin on time. If you're unfamiliar with the area, please leave your house even earlier to allow time to figure out Arlington's marvelous street nomenclature system (in the dark.) If we start on time, I think I can guarantee an earlier end than the presently scheduled 9:30.

3) As noted in 2), this is a get acquainted and job assignments meeting; obviously, things will go a lot more smoothly if you have reviewed: "The Projectoree - A Conversational Introduction" page and come prepared to sign up for games and positions. Remember, all the equipment will be provided by Projectoree "A," and each game/staff position will also have assistance from at least one Staff Scout or Adult from "A," so the amount of effort involved in prep-work will be reasonable, not a crushing burden.

4) Deposit Checks will be accepted at tomorrow night's meeting.

5) For those who have to discuss anything with me in person between now and then, please call me. I will be in and out all weekend, but will return your call asap. The latest you can call on Sunday afternoon is about 5:30; after that, I'll already be at the Parish Center setting up and getting psyched for non-stop babbling.

YiS - Bob
