This is your reminder for this coming Sunday night's "all-hands"
general meeting, from 7:30 to 9:30 at St. Agnes Church, 1914 N. Randolph
St., Arlington, VA 22207. Each Troop that is participating MUST have at
least one person (and preferably more than one) attend this meeting. Each
attending Unit should internally designate who will be attending; please
do NOT assume that "someone else is handling it" - call each other and
find out who IS handling it.
Note that it is *not* necessary to bring all your prospective staff
members along to this meeting (but you are welcome to do so if you so
prefer.) The last planning meeting (March 28th) is the more important
one for staff members.
This meeting has four primary purposes:
1) Updates and pertinent reminders; clarifications on who's handling
what.
2) Numerous handouts - most notably, the detailed instructions for the
events and staff positions your Troop has signed up to handle (but
plenty of other stuff, too.)
3) Establishing liaisons between "A" and "B" Troops that are handling
the same events.
4) Establishing liaisons between "A" and "B" Troops that are handling
the same staffing positions.
Obviously, it is of critical importance for each Unit to be represented,
and for the representatives to have a good handle on what their Unit is
able to provide in the way of equipment and staff. If only two thirds of
the Units show up, this meeting will be a waste of everyone's time, and
the resulting lack of direction will adversely impact the planning
timeline for all participating Troops. Therefore:
PLEASE SHOW UP AND PLEASE BE ON TIME!!!
If everyone does show up on time, and prepared, this meeting will
certainly NOT take the scheduled 2 hours.
