Burton completed a multi-part project at a heavily used crossing on
Donaldsons Run (off Military Road in Arlington). The crossing had been
wiped out by heavy flooding during the summer of 2005. New, very heavy
duty steps were installed on both banks, a new trail (about 75 feet) was
built from 30th Street to the near bank, an erosion ravine (about 50
feet long) was rocked in, and three rock water bars were installed to
divert running water off the trail. Approximately 274 Man-Hours of work.
Burton will be attending VMI, and majoring in Electrical Engineering.
Thanks to the Board of Review members Rob Beckman, Pauline Clark, Clay
Henderson, Max Padon, and Brian Preloh.
