Eagle Scout
John Brady
Our 48th Eagle Scout, John Brady passed his Eagle Boards in
1995, the final entry from Bob's "Class of `89!" The Board was very impressed with his overall
credentials, which - as usual - were way ahead of the "usual" BSA minimums.
John's role call:
- 33 Merit Badges
- 3 50-Miler Awards
- 59 Days of Long-term Camping
- 77 Days of Short-term Camping
- 3 High Adventure Treks
- Scoutmaster's Award, Most Active Scout 1990-91
- Over 200 Hours of Combined Service Time
--more than anyone else in
the Troop
- Assistant Patrol Leader
- Quartermaster
- Senior Patrol Leader
- Philmont Crew Chief
- Troop Guide
- Junior Assistant Scoutmaster
John's Eagle Project - Renovated and repaired the Overlook trail
at Potomac Overlook Park, including erosion barriers, trail lining, step
replacement and installation of anti-bike barriers at the intersection
with the Red Maple trail. The Overlook trail is one of the Park's most
popular, as it leads to a set of park benches with a partial view of the
Potomac River (the view is better in the Wintertime.) Don't forget to
check it out the next time you enjoy the Park!
