Joe, passed his Board of Review on
October 5th 1997; Troop 111's 52nd Eagle Scout! His
Honor Role includes:
- 34 Merit Badges
- 69 Nights of Long-term camping
- 32 nights of short-term camping
- 5 summers at Goshen, including a JASM stint in 1996
- 3 High Adventure Treks (Daniel Boone, Philmont and Algonquin Park)
- 2 50-Miler Awards
- Totin Chip
- Mile Swim and BSA Lifeguard Awards
- Patrol Leader
- Quartermaster
- Projectoree Staff
- Troop Guide
Joe's Eagle Project consisted of completely rebuilding a set of steps
from Missionhurst down to the local park area, and took 265 man-hours to
complete. A very impressive piece of work, and well regarded and
appreciated by the Priests at Missionhurst.
Joe's Board of Review was equally impressive (and Thanks to): Hank
Dettmar (Patawomeck District Eagle Board), Carl Doughman (Deputy
District Commissioner, Arlington County), John Manning, Sally McMullen
and Jim Smith.
