Eagle Scout
Tim Tuck
Tim passed his Eagle Board on 14 October 1998, the same night as Kevin
Kempter, the fifth time that has occurred in Troop History. Tim Tuck
becomes the Troop's 59th Eagle and the second "younger brother"
Eagle in a row! His Honor Roll:
- 21 Merit Badges
- 34 Days of Short-term Camping
- 14 Days of Long-term Camping (but also 5 years at Camp Tecumseh in New
Hampshire, an 8-week long sports/outdoors oriented summer camp)
- Quartermaster
- Patrol Leader
- Troop Guide (and Staff member at Camp Tecumseh for 2 years)
Tim's Project was similar to Rusty Philpott's, and involved an
extensive collection drive for men's clothing and other goods for the
McKenna Center - a shelter for homeless men which is run by Gonzaga High
School. The project, which took just under 150 hours to complete,
resulted in "the largest donation ever in the history of the McKenna
Center." Good job!
Tim's Eagle Board - Hank Dettmar, Kathy Lynch, Sally McMullen, Gordon
Pennington and Jim Smith.
