Eagle Scout Matthew R. Gough

Matt passed his Eagle Board of Review on Friday, March 26th, 2004, becoming Troop 111's 89th Eagle Scout. Matt's Honor Roll:

* Note: 269 combined days of camping/outdoor activities marks a new Troop record, that will probably never be broken (previous record was 202 days, by Dan Hupalo).

Matt's Project was a multi-part trail building and renovation effort at Upton Hill Regional Park in Arlington. He built a new 1/4 mile extension of the Red Trail, installed trail signs, blazed trees, and installed erosion barriers. A major advance in the Park's trail system, taking about 250 man-hours to complete.

Matt will be attending the University of Vermont, and will be majoring in Psychology.

Thanks to the Board of Review members Dan Creedon (former CC-111), Clay Henderson, ASM-151, Ruth Netting (District Advancement Chairman), Max Padon (District Eagle Board), and Rita Rooney (Chairman).
