Rideau Canal Update 3....................
Hello Canadian Travellers:
Just a quick note to update you on the Rideau Canal trip. All the preparations have been made. Here's a summary of dates and time.
Departure: Friday, August 6th - From St. Agnes Parking Lot
Time: 6:00am (sorry but its a long drive!!)
Travel Time to Smith Falls, Ontario, Canada: approx. 9.5 hours
Total Cost of the Trip: $320 (I've received $100 deposits from everyone- Thanks!)
Return Date: Saturday August 15th
This cost includes transportation costs, boat rental, food, fishing license, US Customs expense, money for side trips and adventures, guest taxes, photos and miscellaneous items. It does not include money for food on the trip up and back to Canada or any personal items.
We'll be spending Friday night on the houseboats and leaving Saturday am. We'll be returning the houseboats to Smith Falls on Friday, August 14th. Most likely, we'll depart for home early on Saturday morning August 15th. In addition, to the 4 houseboats we also rent 4 Windgliders, which are a hybrid between a kayak, canoe, wind sailer....they should be a lot of fun.
Please send the remaining payments of $220 per person to either Kim Smith or Dan Creedon. Please send checks by Friday, JULY 17th.
More information will be distributed over the next few weeks, we also plan to have a trip meeting...time and place to be announced shortly. Please email Dan or Kim with any questions.
